A Note of Gratitude

Dear Immaculate Conception School Family,

In this season of Thanksgiving, I have been reminded in a profound way of how grateful I remain for the beautiful and vibrant community we built together at ICS. The love, joy, resilience, and faith that defined our school did not disappear when our doors closed. They continue to live on in each of you.

I see that ICS spirit show up every time I run into a former student or family. It is in your warmth, your determination, your dreams, and the ways you continue to uplift one another. And for all of you whom I have not crossed paths with these last few months, I carry deep faith that the same spirit remains alive and thriving in your homes, your journeys, and your children. What we created together was real, and it continues.

I am reminded of the words from Philippians 1:3: “I thank my God every time I remember you.” This scripture captures perfectly how I feel: grateful for the memories, grateful for the relationships, and grateful for the lasting imprint this community has left on my heart.

May this Thanksgiving bring you rest, time with loved ones, good food, laughter, and a meaningful moment of reprieve from all the noise and weight of the world. You remain in my prayers and in my gratitude, always.

Querida familia de la Escuela Inmaculada Concepción,

Al acercarnos a esta temporada de Acción de Gracias, he sentido de una manera profunda cuánto agradecimiento sigo teniendo por la hermosa y vibrante comunidad que construimos juntos en ICS. El amor, la alegría, la fortaleza y la fe que definieron nuestra escuela no desaparecieron cuando las puertas cerraron—siguen viviendo en cada uno de ustedes.

Veo ese espíritu de ICS cada vez que me encuentro con un exalumno o una familia. Está en su cariño, su determinación, sus sueños y en las maneras en que continúan apoyándose mutuamente. Y para todos aquellos con quienes no he coincidido en estos últimos meses, tengo una profunda fe en que ese mismo espíritu sigue vivo y floreciendo en sus hogares, en sus caminos y en sus hijos. Lo que creamos juntos fue real, y continúa.

Recuerdo las palabras de Filipenses 1:3: “Doy gracias a mi Dios cada vez que me acuerdo de ustedes.” Esta escritura expresa perfectamente lo que siento—gratitud por los recuerdos, gratitud por las relaciones y gratitud por la huella permanente que esta comunidad ha dejado en mi corazón.

Que este Día de Acción de Gracias les brinde descanso, tiempo en familia, buena comida, risas y un momento significativo de alivio ante todo lo que ocurre en el mundo. Siempre están en mis oraciones y en mi gratitud.
