8th Grade Senior Week Reminders

A Season to Celebrate

Dear 8th Grade Families,

As we prepare for next week’s 8th Grade Dance, we want to kindly remind all families that students must have all outstanding tuition and graduation dues paid in full in order to participate.

If any tuition balances or dues remain unpaid by Wednesday, May 21st, students will unfortunately not be able to attend the senior dance. While it is never our preference to withhold these important milestones from students, we are obligated to close out all accounts in order to release final records and fulfill year-end requirements.

Please ensure that your tuition account is brought current by Wednesday so that every member of our 8th grade class can celebrate this special accomplishment together. If you have any questions about your account status or need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office.

Thank you for your partnership and support as we close out this meaningful final chapter.

Warmly,
Mr. Johnson
Principal
Immaculate Conception School

Senior Dance and Cruise Reminders

We are so excited to celebrate our 8th graders at next week’s Senior Dance & Cruise—a joyful and elegant evening to honor their accomplishments and close out the year in style. As we prepare for this special event, please take a moment to review the following dress code guidelines, which are meant to ensure the event remains formal, safe, and memorable for all.

👔 Young Men – Dress Code Expectations

Minimum Requirements (Required to Attend):

  • A collared dress shirt

  • A tie

  • Dress slacks (no jeans, joggers, or shorts)

  • A belt

  • Dress shoes (sneakers are not permitted)

Preferred Attire (Encouraged):

  • A complete suit (jacket and slacks)

  • Coordinated tie and belt

  • Polished dress shoes

💎 Students with ear piercings are permitted to wear stud earrings during the dance.

👗 Young Women – Dress Code Expectations

  • A cocktail dress or gown
(Must be an appropriate length—no shorter than fingertip length when arms are resting at the sides)

  • Dresses must offer age-appropriate coverage in both the front and back

  • Strapless or spaghetti strap dresses must be paired with a shawl or cover-up

  • Due to the motion of the boat, heel height should not exceed 2.5 inches. We strongly recommend block heels, wedges, or dressy flats for safety.

💅 Acrylic nails are permitted for students who have not previously violated our grooming policy. Students who have already been notified of a prior violation may not wear acrylics on Thursday.

📸 Additional Notes

  • Students will be notified on Monday about whether they are permitted to bring their cell phones to the event.

  • Students are welcome to submit or bring in photos of their outfits ahead of time if they are unsure about appropriateness or compliance.

Please note that students who arrive out of dress code will not be permitted to participate in the Senior Dance & Cruise. We are providing these reminders in advance to avoid any issues and ensure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this special evening together.

Commemorative Graduation Program

We’re excited to offer families the opportunity to purchase a half or full page in this year’s 8th Grade Commemorative Graduation Program—a heartfelt way to celebrate your graduate with personal photos, messages, and words of love and encouragement.

To move forward with this option, we must receive participation from at least one-third of the class. So far, only 3 families have expressed interest. In order to make this possible, we need at least 11 additional families to participate.

To give everyone more time, we’re extending the interest deadline to Wednesday, May 21. If we reach the minimum of 14 families, we’ll immediately send out the link for families to upload their messages and images. To make this process easier, please use this link to share whether you would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

Program Options:

  • Half Page – $50

  • Full Page – $100
Final payment will be collected by Friday, May 30.

Please note: If we do not meet the minimum number of participating families by May 21, we will not move forward with the commemorative program, and all collected payments will be returned in full.

We hope you’ll take advantage of this unique opportunity to shout out your graduate and celebrate this milestone in a special way.
